Sarp Aksel, MD is a Turkish-American OB/GYN who has been providing exceptional obstetric and gynecologic healthcare for women in the New York-Connecticut area since 2015. With his jovial and calming demeanor, he prioritizes building true partnerships with both his existing patients and those seeking to form a long-lasting relationship with their physician.
Dr. Aksel earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell University, before receiving his medical degree with distinction in reproductive health at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. After completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, he spent several years caring for high-risk patients in both obstetrics and gynecology on the Upper East Side in Manhattan.
Dr. Aksel brings both compassion and sensitivity to patient visits. Always an attentive listener, he makes sure to address patients' every question and concern during appointments and consultations.
Committed to the just and equitable delivery of women's healthcare, Dr. Aksel has been recognized nationally for his work in healthcare policy and advocacy. He has served his colleagues and his profession through positions in various medical organizations such as the American Medical Association, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and New York County Medical Society.
